What are Enterprise roles and permissions?

Understand the roles and permissions you can assign to your Enterprise team in Farmable.

Written by Enja Matthee

Here are three Enterprise roles in Farmable:

  • Enterprise Owner has the highest level of access. Owners can edit company details, invite members, invite or revoke access to farms, and have access to all farms in the company.

  • Enterprise Admin has the same day-to-day permissions as the Partner Owner. Admins can edit company details, invite members, and invite or revoke access to farms.

  • Enterprise Member has access to the same tools as Admins, but only for the specific farms they have been invited to. Members cannot invite members, invite or revoke access to farms, or edit company details.

The main difference between Admin and Member is company-wide access and invitation permissions:

  • Admins have access to all farms in the company and can manage member and farm access.

  • Members only have access to selected farms and cannot manage member or farm access.

Overview

When you invite a user to your Enterprise Portal, you can assign them a role based on what they need to do.

Roles help you control who can manage company details, who can invite members and farms, and who can access all farms or selected farms.

Go to:

Settings > Manage members

From here, Owners and Admins can invite new users, update roles, resend invitations, or deactivate users.

Enterprise Owner

Enterprise Member

A Member can access the Enterprise tools for the farms they have been invited to.

Members have access to the same tools as Admins, but their access is limited to selected farms.

Members can:

  • Access invited farms

  • Add and manage products

  • Add and manage treatments

  • Access the Planner for selected farms

  • Create, view, edit, and manage planned jobs for selected farms

  • Work with operational Enterprise tools for selected farms

How to change a user’s role

  1. Open the Enterprise Portal.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Select Manage members.

  4. Find the user you want to update.

  5. Select the new role.

  6. If the user is a Partner Member, select the farms they should have access to.

  7. Save your changes.

The user’s access will update based on the role and farm access you assign.

Which role should I choose?

Choose the role based on how much access the user needs:

  • Choose Partner Owner for the person responsible for the Enterprise account and company details.

  • Choose Partner Admin for users who need company-wide access to all farms and tools, and who should be able to invite members and manage farm access.

  • Choose Partner Member for users who only need access to specific farms and should not manage member invitations, farm access, or company details.

You can update a user’s role or farm access later from Settings > Manage members.
