What is a harvest label?

The Farmable App can be used to register harvested batches for your farm. Harvest labels allows you to print your essential harvest record details directly to a label or piece of paper that you can apply directly to the bin/box or batch of choice.

The information supplied on the harvest label is as follows:

  • Unique QR code for this specific harvest

  • Farm Name

  • Field Name

  • Crop Category

  • Harvest Date

The label is printed in black and white.

How do I create and print a harvest label?

  • From your home screen, select the “+” button in the bottom of your screen

  • Then select “Add Harvest

  • Fill in all the details required to complete a harvest job (Date, Field(s), Count, Team, Quality, Photos and GPS pin)

  • Complete the harvest job by selecting “Save & Print

From here you will get a preview of your harvest label with the option to “Print” or “Share” the label.

If you select the “Print” option, your phone will direct you to your default print settings of your mobile device (iOS and Android).

If you select the “Share” option, you will be able to share the label on Whatsapp, SMS, Email, etc.

Our advice, try it out. Give it go, and give us some feedback.

What printers are compatible with the labels?

We do not recommend any specific label printers. However, any printer that can connect via Bluetooth to your mobile device is compatible.

What size are the harvest labels?

The printer will print a standard 4 x 2-inch label, however, you can change the settings on your printer if needed.

What information do I get when I scan a harvest label?

When scanning the unique QR code, you get the harvest date, crop category, variety, farm name, volume and quality rating, together with a map view in color.
