TL;DR: Go to Settings → Products → Add product, enter the product information, and add at least one treatment with its crop category, application rate, and unit.
What is a product in Farmable?
A product is any input used during a crop treatment, including:
herbicides;
fungicides;
insecticides;
fertilizers;
copper products;
wetting agents;
biological products; and
micronutrients.
Use the exact product name shown on the label whenever possible. Complete product information improves traceability, reporting and compliance records.
Add a product
Here you have a choice to either create your own or add from a government-approved list (if available in your region).
Here is how you would create your own product list:
Go to Settings → Products.
Select Add product.
Enter the Product name.
Choose the Product type.
Add product details where relevant, including:
active ingredients;
ingredient amounts and units;
registration number; and
chemical group.
Under First treatment, select the Crop category.
Enter the Application rate and select the correct Unit.
Add the Withholding period in days where relevant.
Add optional treatment information, including:
causes;
growth-stage range;
application requirements;
water mix; and
additional details.
Select Save.
Repeat these steps for the products used on your farm.
FAQs
Do I need to add every product before I start?
No. You can build your product list over time, but adding commonly used products in advance improves consistency and makes future planning quicker.
Should the product I create be accurate?
Yes. If you assign a job and complete it with the information, you can not go and change it. You will need to delete the job, make the changes, and reassign the job again.
What is the difference between a product and a cause?
A product is what you applied. A cause is why you applied it.
Should I add active ingredients and registration details?
They are useful for traceability, compliance, and audit preparation. Add them when the information is available.
Can I use an approved government product list?
Approved product-list access depends on the country and your Farmable setup. Contact Farmable Support when a list should be available but is not shown.
