In Farmable, causes help you document why you are carrying out a treatment—whether it's a pest infestation, a plant disease, or a nutrition-related issue.

Each treatment job can be tagged with one or more causes, which are stored in your job logs and reports. This makes it easy to generate accurate spray diaries and prepare for crop audits.

What Is a Cause?

A cause is any specific reason behind a crop treatment. Examples include:

  • Pests – e.g., aphids, fruit flies, mites, beetles

  • Diseases – e.g., powdery mildew, canker, rust, root rot

  • Nutrition – e.g., magnesium deficiency, general fertilization

💡 Tip: Add causes individually for each issue you’re treating. This allows for more accurate and searchable treatment records.
