When it comes to managing equipment and machinery in Farmable, you have two flexible options:

You can either add all your equipment before getting started with jobs, or add them on the go as you work in the field.
While both methods work, we recommend setting everything up in advance for the smoothest experience.

How to Add Equipment Before You Start Doing Jobs

  1. Open the Farmable App
Log in to your Farmable app and go to the farm settings in the right-hand corner of the screen.

  2. Scroll down to the ‘Equipment’ Section
On the main menu, tap on “Equipment”.

  3. Tap ‘Add New'
Use the 'Add New' button in the right-hand corner.

  4. Choose the type of equipment
    Sprayer, Fertilizer or Other.

  5. Fill in details such as:

    • Equipment name (e.g., John Deere Sprayer)

    • Registration number

    • Date of last inspection

    • Own/Borrowed equipment

    • Tank size and Application rate

  6. Save Your Equipment
Once filled out, tap Save. Your equipment is now available for selection during job creation.

  7. Repeat for All Your Equipment
Add as many machines as needed so they’re ready before fieldwork begins.

How to Add Equipment While You're Doing Jobs

  1. Start a Job as Usual
Begin creating or logging a job in Farmable (e.g., spraying, harvesting, etc.).

  2. Select Equipment
Follow the prompt of adding causes and treatments till you reach the Equipment screen.

  3. Tap ‘+ New Equipment’
If the machine you’re using isn’t listed yet, tap the “ + New Equipment” option.

  4. Fill in Equipment Info
Enter the necessary details just like in the pre-setup method:

    • Equipment name (e.g., John Deere Sprayer)

    • Registration number

    • Date of last inspection

    • Own/Borrowed equipment

    • Tank size and Application rate

  5. Save and Continue the Job flow
Your new equipment will now be saved to your list and linked to the current job you're logging.
